Northwest Academy provides Educational and Therapeutic services to students with Special Education eligibilities at two campuses in the suburbs of Chicago. Our students are boys and girls who range in age from 5 to 21 and are in grades Kindergarten through 12. Students working on Transitional or Self-Sufficiency Plans may attend beyond age 18 and 12th Grade. Northwest Academy is a twelve month school program. All student services are provided by Special Education Teachers, Psychologists, Counselors, Social Workers, and Certified Para-Professionals licensed by the Illinois State Board of Education and by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. Medical services are available as needed and are provided by a Registered Nurse in consultation with the students' families and medical providers. Our students enjoy the full school experience of education, social activity, sports, and guidance. The Addison and Streamwood Campuses of Northwest Academy are approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and by the North Central Association.
